Apple’s newest iPhone devices have been hacked with a zero-day font vulnerability in the latest iteration of the JailbreakMe.com project.
The JailbreakMe.com exploit allows the automated jailbreaking of iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch devices from a specially created Web site.
It is essentially a drive-by download attack that exploits the way Apple’s mobile operating system processes certain fonts. Technical details of the vulnerability are not yet know.
It is likely being combined with a second privilege escalation bug to escape the iOS sandbox, much like the first version of the jailbreak exploit. According to “Comex,” the hacker behind the site, the exploit defeats ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization), a key anti-exploit mechanism.
Along with the jailbreak exploit, “Comex” also released a patch for the main vulnerability.
“Due to the nature of iOS, this patch can only be installed on a jailbroken device. Until Apple releases an update, jailbreaking will ironically be the best way to remain secure,” he explained.

iPad 3 Blue Mockup Sure Looks Sexy With a 3D Display
Who’d have thought that the iPad 3 would have a 3D display? And what about that Apple A6 quad core processor? These are all speculations, met under the shell of the following mockup: the blue iPad 3. I have no idea who created it, so please step up and claim your creation!
As far as this model is concerned, this design adopts the recent iPhone 5 speculations, so we’re dealing with an iPad with edge to edge display and lacking a Home button. Instead, we get 3D apps, a very thin chassis and supposedly an AMOLED screen. Let’s see Samsung supplying those after the conflict with Apple…
Will this iPad 3D come this Fall? I wouldn’t mind seeing it on the market in March 2012 as well, but who knows what the Cupertino giant lead by Steve Jobs is up to…

iPhone 5 Design Makes the Thinnest Smartphone Ever, at 4mm in Thickness
Right now the thinnest smartphone in the world is a model made by NEC, if I’m not mistaking, but the iPhone 5 concept below takes away the crown, thanks to its slim waistline. This model, made by Alternative Industries measures a mere 4mm in thickness and it looks impressive.
The handset incorporates an edge to edge screen, that actually eliminates the upper and lower edges as well. This iPhone concept integrates the SIM into the device and I’m guessing that we’re dealing with a 4 inch smartphone here, but it’s only speculation right now. With a waistline so thin, should we fear that this phone can break easily?

Nokia N800 Series Device Proposal Design Looks Stunning… Would Kill With MeeGo!
First of all, this is a Nokia N800 series unit from 2008, so it’s all the more amazing nowadays. This concept device was created by designer Jm.Jo that you can find at the address ultrajjo@hotmail.com. He created the project for Nokia and as you can see we’re dealing with a smartphone that adopts the QWERTY slider form factor.
There’s also a tilt hinge mechanism on board, as well as jog stick for games and video call support, possibly thanks to a front camera. This model also has an interesting feature, as it generates a hologram effect on the plastic part of the case through injection molding, that makes the entire thing much cooler and appealing to youngsters.
Hologram patterning can be changed and inscriptions/decorations can appear where you want them to. Considering the popularity of the Nokia N950 model, strictly designed for developers, could it be based on this concept?

Nokia W10 Prototype Runs Windows Phone 7.5, Packs a 15MP camera
We’ve seen the Nokia X10 Symbian Anna prototype here and now we have the same device, but with a different OS. Nokia W10 runs Windows Phone 7.5, supports quad band connectivity and 4G LTE. It’s got quad stereo speakers and a Super AMOLED Plus display with a 4.5 inch diagonal and a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.
TV out is also on board via HDMI, as well as a 15MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Dual Xenon flash and full HD 1080p video capture at 30 fps. There’s also a front 5MP camera with Xenon flash and face detection. The CPU on the Nokia W10 is a quad-core 2GHz unit, more than enough to run Windows Phone, to be honest.
32GB of storage, 2GB of ROM and 2GB of RAM are the memory on this device, plus a microSD slot with support for up to 64GB of storage. Would you prefer to use this device with Windows Phone 7.5 on board or a future version of Symbian Anna/Belle?

The PlayStation 4. This device is very eco-friendly, as it uses up 0 watts in standby mode and comes with an ECO Restart function, that allows you save the game and then turn off the console for a quick later play without extra load.

Its total power usage is about 90 watts, that’s very reasonable. The Sony PS4 you see here is compatible with the PS Vita, that you can use to remote control the new desktop console and browse the Internet or play games from the distance.

Download : Nokia Firmware 5800 XpressMusic RM-356 MENA 52.0.007 v15.0
Features improved:
* Improved Performance: As with every good firmware upgrade, v52 leaves your phone feeling much snappier and responsive than before. Menu response, browser performance, and even the speed of UI auto-rotate has seen a boost.
* Louder volume levels in the music-player
* Slight modifications in the onscreen keyboard layout and spacing The onscreen keyboard has been tweaked slightly, with marginally improved spacing - this essentially means that typing-errors will reduce a little bit, but the change is not very significant.
* Improved touch-response: The touch-screen sensitivity has increased noticably, and so has the haptic-feedback. The short rumble you used to get for each touch has transformed into something more soft and realistic, very similar to the response of an actual, physical button-press.
* The Maps application has been updated to version 3.04 (10WK32), which brings some major revamps - in addition to the usual Lonely Planet and Burrp, you get additional goodies like the Map Reporter, with which you can report errors or missing features in the map of your area.
* Several bug-fixes in the WiFi connectivity: Have you, for instance, tried to browse the Ovi Store over a WiFi connection and failed, and never knew what was wrong? Well, this was a bug - this and several other similar bugs have been fixed in the newest update.
* The browser has been updated to version 7.2.6.9, and the image and video capturing algorithms have been improved

Google launches Nexus S, latest Android platform
Google on Monday announced its Nexus S, the device that will be the showpiece for the Gingerbread/Android 2.3 release. In addition, the Gingerbread software developer kit (SDK) is now available.
The Nexus S was co-developed with Samsung and will be the first out of the gate with Android 2.3, which on the surface looks a lot like Android 2.2 in terms of user interface.
Like the first Nexus phone, Google will sell the latest version unlocked and with “a pure Google experience.” These efforts are designed to highlight what Android can do before carriers start adding icons, bolting down app stores and carrying out other hijinks.
Generally speaking, the Nexus S looks evolutionary not revolutionary. There’s no dual-core and the screen is similar to what’s found in a Droid. The main implication for the Nexus S is that Samsung appears to be the Android flag carrier these days.
The latest improvements to Android include (blog post):
- User interface tweaks;
- Near field communication support;
- New keyboard and text selection;
- VoIP calling;
- And other improvements.

Mobile Number Portability in India
After several delays, Nov 25th was decided on as the date when Mobile Number Portability would roll out in India. Starting in Haryana, a state in the Northern circle users can now opt to change their mobile carriers while keeping their numbers. The terms of switching operators as defined for Haryana and in all likelihood for other cities, are:
1.User will have to obtain a unique porting number by sending a SMS.
2.The code along with filled forms and valid identity proof documents need to be submitted to the new operator.
3. Rs 19 is the switching fee.
4. A user can switch after 90 days of a new connection being activated.
5. Postpaid users need to clear all dues before applying to switch.
6. Prepaid users lose any remaining talk time after switching.
7. MNP request can be cancelled within 24 hours and a new request should be processed within 7 days.
With 3G services starting to roll out, the mobile space should get competitive with operators having some time to announce lucrative deals to attract and retain consumers in the metropolitans. According to the latest statistics about the mobile market size in India, Airtel leads by quite a margin. There are about 509 million users according to the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) report for October 2010. The breakup for some operators is:
